Scalextric owner Hornby said sets based on the McLaren team and its star British driver flew off the shelves after Hamilton was narrowly beaten into second place in one of the most exciting F1 championships for years. Hornby chairman Neil Johnson said Hamilton's popularity with racing fans in Britain will continue to drive sales this year. He added, "For 2008, Scalextric products based on the Vodafone Mercedes McLaren team and its outstanding driver Lewis Hamilton will continue to set the pace." January 28th, 2008 |
