Hill: Redesign Can Keep Silverstone On Right Track

Formula One former world champion Damon Hill believes it is vital to redevelop Silverstone in order to keep Formula One Racing in Britain.

Owners the British Racing Driver's Club (BRDC) yesterday released their first images of the paddock area at the Northamptonshire track. F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone has warned Silverstone to modernise or lose the British Grand Prix as soon as next years and BRDC president Hill hopes the redesign will win over the F1 chief. "In order to retain the British Grand Prix we need a venue of this kind of stature," he insisted. "The grand prix is a key element in the whole project."
