Bernie Ecclestone, chief executive of F1, said: "I am delighted to conclude this new deal with the BBC. I widh to thank ITV for high quality of their coverage." A statement from ITV this morning read: "This was a straightforward commercial decision and we are pleased that Formula 1 will continua to be broadcast free-to-air."
